VIR-001. Las redes sociales, ventajas y desventajas. Necesidad de un trabajo educativo con los estudiantes

El empleo de Internet y el creciente auge de las redes sociales constituyen en la
actualidad una fuente de comunicación, basada en las tecnologías, que permite tanto la interacción individual como la transmisión masiva de informaciones en una misma
plataforma. Estas redes contribuyen al aumento del nivel cultural e informativo de los
estudiantes; pues a través de ellas acceden a disímiles informaciones que son
utilizadas en sus investigaciones. Sin embargo, la manipulación de la información y el
mal uso de las redes sociales pueden provocar la aparición de fenómenos como el
Cyberbulling (Ciberacoso), el Sexting, el Grooming y el Phishing que atentan contra la
integridad de las personas que hacen uso de estas redes; ante lo cual, es necesario
realizar un trabajo educativo y preventivo con los jóvenes estudiantes para que al
utilizar las redes sociales lo hagan de una forma consciente, segura y responsable;
donde la familia juega un papel fundamental.

The use of the internet and the growing rise of social networks are currently a source
and communication, based on technologies, which allows both individual interaction and massive transmission of information on the same platform. These networks contribute to the incrase of the cultural and informative level of the students; because through them they access different information that is used in their investigations. However, the manipulation of information and the misuse of social networks can cause the appearance of phenomena such as Cyberbullyng, Sexting, Grooming and Phishing that threaten the integrity of the people who make use of these networks; before which, it is necessary to carry out an educational and preventive work with the young students so that when using the social nets they make it in a conscious, safe and responsible way; where the family plays a fundamental role.
