The pandemic of the COVID-19 has imposed on all the institutions and professors of the different teaching levels the necessity to intrude in the use of the TIC to give continuity to its academic activities, what constitutes a fact. In the face of this reality the Ministry of Superior Education of the Republic of Cuba has incentivized the education at distance. Assisting to this I claim the work he/she has the objective of basing the virtualization of the English subject I that is studied in the University of Sciences of the Physical Culture and the Sport “Manuel Fajardo.” As a result of the analysis of the bibliographical and documental sources the enough argument was obtained, from the theoretical, scientific and methodological point of view, to sustain the necessity of the design of a virtual environment of teaching-learning of the subject study reason.
La pandemia del COVID-19 ha impuesto sobre todas las instituciones y profesores de los diferentes niveles de enseñanza la necesidad de incursionar en el uso de las TIC para dar continuidad a sus actividades académicas, lo que constituye un hecho. Ante esta realidad el Ministerio de Educación Superior de la República de Cuba ha incentivado la educación a distancia. Atendiendo a este reclamo el trabajo tiene el objetivo de fundamentar la virtualización de la asignatura Inglés I que se estudia en la Universidad de Ciencias de la Cultura Física y el Deporte “Manuel Fajardo”. Como resultado del análisis de las fuentes bibliográficas y documentales se obtuvo la suficiente argumentación, desde el punto de vista teórico, científico y metodológico, para sustentar la necesidad del diseño de un entorno virtual de enseñanza-aprendizaje (EVEA) de la asignatura motivo de estudio.
